Chicken Parmigiana

" This is a very nice dinner for two. Serve it with your favorite pasta and tossed greens. "

  • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 2 ounces dried bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3/4 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 2 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).


Dip chicken cutlets into egg beat, then bread crumbs. Place coated chicken on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.


Pour 1/2 of the spaghetti sauce into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Add chicken and pour on remaining sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top and bake in oven (at same temperature) for 20 minutes. Enjoy!
