Hamburger Noodle Bake

  Preparation Time:  20 Minutes
 

" This is one of my families favorite meals.  It takes a bit of work, but is really great for potlucks or a nice cold evening to warm the soul. "
 
Ingredients
  • 2 Lbs. Ground Beef
  • 1 Small Onion - Chopped
  • 8 Ozs. Sharp Cheddar Cheese - Shredded (or use Velvetta, 1/2 of large block)
  • 8 Ozs. Medium Egg Noodles - Cooked and Drained
  • 2 10 3/4 Cans Condensed Tomato Soup
  • 1/3 Cup Green Pepper - Chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Chili Sauce (or substitute with a few shakes of Louisiana Hot Sauce)
  • 3/4 TBS. Salt - I use beef bullion instead
  • 2 TBS. Pimento - Chopped
  • 1-1/2 Cups Soft Bread Crumbs - crumbled (optional)
  • 3 TBS. Butter - to mix with Bread Crumbs (optional)
   
Directions

Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add remaining ingredients (except bread crumbs).  Mix well.

Turn into 13 x 9  x 2 baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes, Sprinkle Bread crumbs over top and continue baking 15 minutes.
