With electric mixer, cream butter,
shortening, sugar and brown sugar, until fluffy and smooth. Add
eggs and vanilla, beat well. Sift flour, baking soda and salt, add
to batter and mix well. Stir in oats, coconut, nuts and chips.
Drop rounded tablespoons onto UNgreased
cookie sheet, allowing space for cookies to spread. Bake at 350F
12-15 minutes or until lite brown around the edges and stiff soft
in the middle. Do not overbake. Cool on rack.
