Boil some wild rice (he loves the dark grains most).
Boil some beans (white, kidney, u name it).
Bake a yam.
Cook some polenta or oatmeal
Steam some broccoli.
Mush it all together into meal-size balls and freeze.
It only takes about 45 mins to defrost.
