Bird Shells

Posted by: Mary K Wilson - birdystory@dwx.com - October 8, 2000

cooked large pasta shells (use the leftovers from your human recipe)
2 eggs
1 scoop (I use the blue Kaytee scoops) seeds

After cooking the large pasta shells, scramble the 2 eggs, shells and all, and cook in a coffee mug in the microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Dump the "egg loaf" into a bowl and mash with a fork. Stir in a scoop of your bird's favorite seeds or treat. Spoon 1 to 2 teaspoons of the mix into each shell. Serve to your parrot as a treat. You may refrigerate or freeze the extra. You may also substitute your bird's favorite foods for the filling. Enjoy!
