Mini Minute Birdie Cake

Posted by: Tanya - March 11, 2001

1/2 cup cheerios or kix
1/4 cup peanut butter
1 egg

Crush the cheerios/kix slightly in a plastic bag with a rolling pin. Pour the cheerios/kix into a small bowl. Add other ingredients and mix until smooth. Now, pour the mixture into a cereal bowl or a small soup bowl. Put into microwave for 1-1 1/2 minutes. When you take it out, it should be a bit soft, but not gooey. Gently lift cake out of bowl and place it onto a plate upside down. If the bottom is gooey, put it in the microwave for 10 seconds, otherwise flip right side up. Mush a ripe strawberry. Spread on top of cake. Cut into pieces according to birds size. Leftovers can be put in fridge. I made this for my sister's lovebird and she loves them!
