Background:
Sitting in front of the TV is an all too common occurrence. This activity makes
the most of that time by sharpening listening skills.
What to do:
With your child, watch a familiar television show with characters he or she
knows well. After a few minutes, ask your child to listen carefully with eyes
closed. When a character comes on the show, ask who is speaking. Allow your
child to open his or her eyes and see if the answer is correct. Take turns
playing the game during the show.
