Background:
Try this exercise along with
The Rhyming Book to enforce the concept of rhyming for children. By thinking
of words that rhyme and articulating them into a sentence, kids practice
listening and language skills together.
What to do:
Ask your child to choose two rhyming words and make a nonsense sentence from
them. For example, your child might choose "bear" and "hair"
and say, "If I had a bear, I'd lose my hair." Let your child make
several nonsense rhymes.
